The pictures in this slide show are from the Nanjing, Jiangsu province in China. They were taken during the months of September, October, and November (of previous years). In China, the Fall season is really short compared to here in Ohio. You'll notice that the leaves on many of the trees in these pictures are still green. That is because China's Fall season only lasts for about 2 - 3 weeks. So, trees in China are still in 'warm weather mode' during September and October since the temperatures in China haven't cooled down yet. Here's some other things we learned about the Fall season in China:
Thank you Mandy and @MrsRuthaisClass for these pictures and information for our 'Seasons Around the World Project'!
- When it rains in the fall, it can last for several days or a week at a time.
- The temperatures may change daily. Meaning that one day it will feel like a warm summer day, while the next day feels like a cold winter day.
- Average Fall temperature = 70 F
- Leaves will change colors and fall off of the trees.
